EXPERIENCE THE UNIQUE BEAUTY OF NATURE

WITH REMO FURNITURE

Dear Customer,

Thank you for inviting Remo Furniture to your home.

Remo Furniture uses the highest quality materials in all of its products. The finest woods are used in our collections and the raw materials used in each piece are engineered to be durable and long lasting. Each piece is designed to become a piece that your family can enjoy for years.

However, we would like to underline that wood is a natural product that responds to temperature and humidity variations by expanding and contracting. Sometimes these changes may be noticeable in the physical appearance of the product.  This means that our pieces could potentially crack, shrink, or bow in certain areas over time. This is not necessarily typical or common. However, as with all real wood pieces, it is definitely a possibility. We take every precaution to prevent this when building as best we can.

We believe that a big part of what makes rustic furniture beautiful lies with each piece's own unique variances and imperfections, which can include cracks, knots, bowing, and gaps.

Wood, like all natural materials, has inherent disparities in color and grain pattern. Because of variations caused by nature, over which the company has no control Remo Furniture does its best to match the finish samples and grain examples provided. Remo Furniture does not guarantee an exact match to the sample provided due to the natural variation of the wood. Samples of grain pattern and color are matched to the best of our ability. Due to the natural variation in wood, each piece will have a variation in how it accepts the finishing process.

No finished piece is ever an exact replica of another, and that is the beauty of it!

Thank you for placing trust in our company. We hope you will enjoy our products.

WOODEN FURNITURE - PRODUCT INFORMATION

Good quality furniture lasts a lifetime. But, no matter how good the quality of wood is, it is susceptible to abrasion, scratches, and wear and tear, due to constant use. Hence, it’s extremely important to take care of wooden furniture as much as you can. You must be mindful of  certain cleaning and care instructions and follow the process as instructed.

  1. Although every effort is made to protect and seal the wood on our products, wood will inevitably continue to move in tune with the environment. You can help minimise this movement by keeping the products at as stable an environment (temperature, moisture) as is possible. To avoid cracks and splits in wood panels, keep the indoor humidity levels between 45% and 60% and indoor temperature up to 25˚C.
  2. Avoid placing furniture in direct sunlight from windows or near other heat sources such as fireplaces or radiators.
  3. Dust with a soft damp cloth by following the wood grain. Don’t use rough materials to dust off the surfaces as they can cause scratches.
  4. Never use the all-purpose cleaners that are readily available in the market. They damage the wooden finish of your furniture. Usually, cleaning with a wet cloth and a mild dish detergent helps.
  5. Whenever you keep glass products or mugs or any hot or cold objects on wooden tables, use coasters and never place them directly on the surface without putting a tablecloth beneath it. You can place decorative tablecloths or placemats on top of the surface which would protect the furniture surface from getting stained. Alcohol spill may cause discolorations.
  6. Always clean spills and water off of oak furniture. Since oak is porous, it will easily soak up water. This can damage the finish and lead to staining. Wipe up spills with a clean dry cloth or paper towel. The longer a spill sits, the deeper the spill can penetrate. This is why it's important to dry a spill as soon as you notice it
  7. Do not cover wooden surfaces with artificial materials like PCV or stone, glass to allow air flow.
  8. All wood products will absorb and release moisture for a lifetime. Never store furniture in an attic, basement, or damp areas.
  9. Make sure the furniture is placed on an even surface to prevent its deformation.

If you notice your furniture becoming too dry, you can re oil it.

Follow the below steps for re-oiling the furniture surface:

  • Clean the surface using a wet cloth and mild soap or detergent.
  • Dry clean it immediately.
  • Now apply furniture oil and let the furniture soak the moisture for about 15 minutes.
  • After this, if you choose to apply any protective layer, let the oil settle for a day before you proceed to apply any other solution.

If you are to wax the furniture surface, the process is a bit different.

  • Once you have cleaned the surface using a damp cloth and mild soap, apply a coat of wax and spread the mixture throughout the surface along wood grains.
  • Don’t keep the wax for more than 20 minutes.
  • Remove the excess wax from the surface by wiping it off with a clean pad.
  • Now buff using a soft cloth until the surface feels smooth.
